Wedding Day, October 6, 2011
Kyle and I were married on Thursday, October 6, 2011 in Enterprise, Alabama. It was just the two of us. It was very sweet and absolutely perfect! I love him! I am officially Mrs. Kyle Rodgers. After our little ceremony we enjoyed the best breakfast from Waffle House.
The night before the Big Day
Jessica and I always said that we would share a bowl of brownie mix on the eve of our wedding. Well, I was in Alabama and she was in Mississippi, but that didn't stop us. Here I am eating my brownie mix while talking to my sister on the phone, who was also eating brownie mix. I love her!

First hug in 78 days! I was so excited to finally see Kyle. Of course the Drill Sergeant made us wait and stare at our soldiers (for what seemed like forever) before we could run to them. They sure know how to tease us.

Kyle at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri for basic training
It has been 9 weeks since I have seen Kyle. Only 2 more weeks until I see him again! Kyle is allowed a 20 minute phone call only once a week. So, in the meantime we have to write letters for communication. It hasn't actually been that bad. Yes, I have missed him greatly, but it's just one of those things that he has to do. I am so proud of him.
