Wedding Day, October 6, 2011

Kyle and I were married on Thursday, October 6, 2011 in Enterprise, Alabama. It was just the two of us. It was very sweet and absolutely perfect! I love him! I am officially Mrs. Kyle Rodgers. After our little ceremony we enjoyed the best breakfast from Waffle House.

The night before the Big Day

Jessica and I always said that we would share a bowl of brownie mix on the eve of our wedding. Well, I was in Alabama and she was in Mississippi, but that didn't stop us. Here I am eating my brownie mix while talking to my sister on the phone, who was also eating brownie mix. I love her!

Kyle (SPC Rodgers) was the Platoon Guide for his Platoon.

Kyle was the narrator for the graduation ceremony. He was chosen to be the narrator.

Kyle and I after graduation. Time to feed him a steak!

Basic Training Family Day Bravo 2-10

Family Day, August 3, 2011

First hug in 78 days! I was so excited to finally see Kyle. Of course the Drill Sergeant made us wait and stare at our soldiers (for what seemed like forever) before we could run to them. They sure know how to tease us.

Kyle at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri for basic training

It has been 9 weeks since I have seen Kyle. Only 2 more weeks until I see him again! Kyle is allowed a 20 minute phone call only once a week. So, in the meantime we have to write letters for communication. It hasn't actually been that bad. Yes, I have missed him greatly, but it's just one of those things that he has to do. I am so proud of him.

Otis has a new look

Otis decided to get an army collar and shave his body to be like his daddy. Kyle is currently in Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He gets approximately 20 minutes of phone time on Saturdays. I have been writing letters to him everyday. We love you and miss you!

Girls Getaway In Texas

Jessica, my mom and I spent 5 days in Texas. We had a blast. Mrs. Linda took us to see the JFK museum, the Dallas Arboretum, and the Canton "First Monday" Flea Market. We did lots of shopping and even went out on the boat. When there are girls in the house, the nails will be painted:)

My Family meets "new" Family

This was taken at Pickwick the weekend before Kyle went to basic training.  Had a really good time.
The Cain Girls!

Getting Started

I wanted to start this blog to share with family and friends. I also wanted Kyle to be able to follow my blogs for updates back home.  Kyle, I love you and miss you so much. I hope Fort Leonard Wood is treating you well. The O man misses you. His Aunt Jessy gave him a brownie (on purpose) last night at Samantha and Jeff's camp site because he was such a well behaved dog. Miss you!
